What is fostering? When you foster a dog, you are providing it with a temporary home while it is being socialized, getting necessary medical care and looking for its perfect home. Rosie’s Rescue is foster-based. We do not have a facility to house dogs, so each dog must go into an appropriate foster home.
Our rescue needs short and long term fosters, as well as temporary fosters or medical fosters. Our goal is to make it a win-win-win-win situation for the dog, the foster, the rescue and the new pet owner.
Rosie’s Rescue covers all legal and approved medical costs as well as providing everything the dog needs. We provide crates, leashes, collars, ID tags, harnesses if needed, bedding, toys, food, etc.
For every foster home we have, we can save a dog. If you fall in love with the dog, fosters have first dibs on adoption. However, it is not our goal to have foster fails. We need people who are willing to foster again and again and keep saving the next dog.
We will also provide you with assistance if needed for training and behavioral issues.
If you are interested in fostering, please fill out the foster application form below and return to the foster coordinator.
